In the world of human relations there are always those who dominate and those who are dominated, those who command and those who obey, those who are heard and those who listen.
With everyone having different opinions and ideas, how can we all be heard? Is there really room for everyone? What is equality when we are all so different and time doesn't seem to be enough to be heard?
Some are tall, some are short, some are shy and some are effusive, some are black and some are white, some are poor and some are rich, some are gay and some are bisexual. The space for dialogue sometimes seems to be little, limiting communication.
We want equality in a highly competitive society where diversity seems to make our value so different from each other.
Equality is a principle that dictates treating everyone the same, but from this initial concept, we have many unfoldings and uncertainties.
Thus, we seek to develop ideas about the concepts of equality, diversity, identity and freedom of expression through the research of the presence of bodies in space and in their interrelation.
PODIUM is a show co-produced by Teatro das Figuras and has the support of the Municipality of Faro and the Cultural Action Support Program of the Algarve Regional Directorate of Culture.
